West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is set to host the Vijaya Conference with the state's industrialists on November 9, as a prelude to the upcoming Bengal Global Business Summit (BGBS), scheduled from November 21 to 23. This conference, aimed at strengthening ties between the government and industry leaders, has seen a change in venue from Echo Park in Newtown, where it was previously held, to the Alipore Museum.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had recently constructed this museum, located near her residence, to mark the 75th year of India's independence, following the shifting of Alipore Jail to Baruipur.
The Vijaya Conference, taking place just ahead of BGBS, holds significant importance for the state government, particularly in light of the Chief Minister's visits to Spain and Dubai in September. These international trips may have generated investment interest, and the conference will provide an opportunity for industrialists to present investment proposals and foster collaborations during this year's industrial event.
